Arrival and accommodation

We expect most participants to arrive on Sunday evening and leave on Saturday morning.
The workshop/conference starts on Monday at 9.30am with registration and finishes on Friday by 3pm.

Reasonable hotel options in Wuppertal near the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) include the Hotel Central, and the Hotel Arcade.

Transport

Please consult this page for information how to reach the Main Campus Grifflenberg of the University of Wuppertal by bus/train or car. The nearest airports are Düsseldorf, Köln-Bonn, Dortmund/Holzwickede and Frankfurt. Note that some hotels (notably "Hotel Central") will provide you with a free bus ticket.

Venue

All talks will be in lecture hall 23. In addition, we have reserved room U1 nearby for further discussion and work. Lecture hall 23 is located on the ground floor of bulding S, a short walk away from the bus stop "Wuppertal Universität". There are frequent busses (615 and 645) from Wuppertal Hauptbahnhof bus station platform 3 via "Historische Stadthalle" to the University. You may also walk up the hill for 15-20 minutes.

Conference dinner

The conference dinner of the summer school will be at the restaurant Alaturka, on Thursday, September 16th, at 7 pm.

Funding and support for participants with children is available. Please contact us by the end of July if you are interested.
