Benjamin's Homepage
Hello, my name is Benjamin Klopsch.
I am a mathematician. Until December 2006 I was working as a Wissenschaftlicher Assistent (non-permanentresearcher and lecturer) at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität in Düsseldorf, Germany.

In the meantime I have moved to Royal Holloway, University of London. Here is a link to my new homepage at RHUL.

Research Interests
My research activities are directed towards the study of infinite groups. I am especially interested in groups which carry some number theoretic information. Many problems which I have been working on in the last few years concern profinite, often pro-p groups. These occur rather naturally as Galois groups of infinite field extensions.
To some extent, my mathematical home base is the subject of subgroup growth. This is a fairly new direction in infinite group theory which started in the late 80s. But then I am always happy to learn about new things and I have been intrigued by problems in additive combinatorics, coding theory, Lie theory, etc.
