Non-academic activities

Photo The workshop photograph will be taken on Wednesday after the last morning talk (i.e. around 12:45) in front of the statue of Heinrich Heine (in front of the main library, on the way to the Mensa). The photo will then be published on the website. If you do not want your picture to appear on the website, please do not take part in the photo.

Dinner and drinks on Thursday night On Thursday night we will all gather at a local brewery where we will have the opportunity to taste some of the local specialties: traditional Altbier (which is a type of beer only made around D\"usseldorf) and Rhenish food. We will meet at 19:00 at Im goldenen Kessel, Bolkerstr. 44, in the Altstadt. Non-alcoholic drinks are available, as well as not-so-traditional food. Please confirm your attendance when you register so we can inform the brewery.

Wednesday afternoon off You are free to do whatever you like after the photo on Wednesday. Options include exploring the town, going to Cologne, or persuading a group of mathematicians to go on some walk through the nearby countryside. The Düsseldorf Tourism Office has plenty of information about things to see and do.
